Privacy Policy

Toolvik ("the app") is a set of offline utility tools: the Age Calculator and its date tools, a Working Days calculator with official public holidays, a World Clock and Meeting Planner, a Zakat calculator, a Gratuity calculator, and a Unit Converter with a percentage calculator and a calculator.

Data we collect: none.

• Everything you enter (dates such as your date of birth, names, amounts, lists) is used only to calculate results on your device. It is not sent to any server, not stored online, and not shared with anyone.
• Some things you choose to keep (for example saved working-day calculations, your preferred settings or recently used tools) are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.
• The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
• When you tap Share, Copy or Download, the result goes only where you choose (your clipboard, a file on your device, or the app you pick in the share menu).
• Files you open (for example a CSV list of names and dates) are read only on your device.

Permissions

• Internet / network state: used to show whether you are online. All tools work fully offline; the app itself does not send or download any personal data.
• Microphone (optional): only for voice input (🎤 Speak), asked only the first time you tap it. The microphone is on only while you speak. The app does not save or upload any audio.
• Location (optional): only when you tap 📍 Show my city in the World Clock. The phone's position is used once to find the nearest town in a list stored inside the app (no internet needed). Only the town name is kept, on your phone; the position is never stored, sent to a server or shared. "Forget my city" removes it. Town data: GeoNames (geonames.org), CC BY 4.0.

Voice input (optional): when you tap 🎤 Speak, your phone's own speech recognition turns your words into text. If the language is downloaded for offline use on your phone, this happens on the phone. If not, your phone's speech service (for example Google's) processes the audio online under that provider's privacy policy. Toolvik itself has no server and receives nothing. Reading a result aloud uses your phone's own text-to-speech. You can turn voice input off in Settings.

Feedback (optional): the "Give feedback / report a problem" button opens a Google Form in your browser. Only what you type in the form, and only if you submit it, goes to the developer (through Google Forms, under Google's privacy policy). The app itself sends nothing.

Estimates and information: some results (for example heartbeats or distance travelled through space) are educational estimates based on averages. Religious and legal calculators (Zakat, Gratuity) show their sources and are for information only; please confirm important decisions with a qualified scholar or professional.

Children: the app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes: if a future version adds features that handle data differently (for example ads or online tools), this policy will be updated before that version is released.
